Polyurethane composite pipe is a composite pipe made of steel pipe as the matrix, with high wear-resistant, high elasticity, and high anti-corrosion polyurethane material as the lining, and processed through special processes. Steel lined polyurethane composite pipes have excellent comprehensive properties such as wear resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, scaling resistance, radiation resistance, hydrolysis aging resistance, high elasticity, and mechanical impact resistance.
Steel lined polyurethane composite pipes are one of the mainstream wear-resistant pipes internationally (another type is HDPE). Due to the development of the domestic wear-resistant industry, there are also numerous types of wear-resistant pipes, but the trend of polyurethane becoming the mainstream product in the wear-resistant industry is urgent. Due to the inadequacy of domestic polyurethane production technology and pipeline forming technology, it is necessary to introduce foreign production materials, advanced and mature production technology, and testing equipment, resulting in relatively high production costs.
Steel lined polyurethane composite pipes are suitable for the transportation of coarse particles, high-pressure, and high-speed media. Under these industrial and mining conditions, the superior performance of polyurethane is demonstrated. In soft media with fine particles (-200 mesh accounting for over 80%), low pressure (below 2.0Mpa), and low flow rate (<1.8m/s), its superior performance is not reflected very much.
